Arlen Miller has more than 35 years of experience in the real estate industry, having developed, constructed and managed millions of square feet of property throughout California. He has extensive experience in entitlement, development, construction and financing of commercial real estate projects and has close relationships with many of the major property owners and managers around the United States. He founded Miller Family Companies with his brother 20 years ago and prior to that, he represented the third generation of his family’s home building business.
Arlen received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Southern California and holds a California State Contractors License and a California Brokers License. He is a past President of the LA/Ventura chapter of the Building Industry Association and has served on the boards of the Los Angeles County Library Foundation, HomeAid and the Jewish Home for the Aging.
Kamran Qamar has more than 15 years of experience in the software industry as an investor, consultant and developer. He is currently the Chairman and CEO of Pyntail, a world-leading mobile innovations company which offers end-to-end product ideation, development and publishing services to the financial, entertainment and healthcare industries. Prior to forming Pyntail in 2010, he founded, scaled and successfully exited several technology companies. He also provided technology and business management consulting services to mid-size companies, government agencies, institutions, trade organizations and technology interests in the United States and abroad, specializing in enterprise architecture, transportation and GIS.
Kamran is an active member of Tech Coast Angels in Los Angeles.
Kathleen Perkinson is a real estate company executive with 30+ years of experience leading large teams of multi-disciplinary professionals in planning, developing, financing, marketing and operating large-scale new town mixed-use development projects. Most recently, she served as Senior Vice President at Tejon Ranch Company (NYSE: TRC). Prior to that, she served as Managing Director for the Miller Family Companies and as Vice President Finance and Project General Manager for Hines-owned development companies in California and Texas. She started her career at Price Waterhouse in Houston and Kenneth Leventhal in Houston and Newport Beach.
Kathy received her Bachelor of Science in Accountancy from the University of Illinois and AMDP in Real Estate from Harvard University. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, serves on various land trust and community boards, and has been active in the Urban Land Institute for over 20 years, serving in various leadership positions.
Allan Rice is the former President and Co-Founder of Bernards Parking Systems and Service Inc., a parking facility management company where he served for 25 years and was responsible for all day-to- day parking operations, general management, marketing and parking facility management services. When the company was sold to a national parking firm in 2005, Allan managed, leased or owned over 120 parking facilities. He was responsible for the creation and maintenance of the company’s information system and developed an in-house, web-enabled data management system that was the impetus for the ALIX model.
During his career, Allan has personally overseen every function of a parking management company from running down cars, cashiering, supervising, managing and selling commercial management services. He possesses the highest level of grass roots knowledge than can be obtained in the parking industry.
Allan received his Bachelor of Science degree in Economics with a minor in Political Science from the University of California Los Angeles.
